Our pitch was so secluded and we felt surrounded by wilderness!
Had a great stay at King's Mill. The best campsite I've ever been to. Our pitch was so secluded and we felt surrounded by wilderness. Surprisingly not bug ridden either which I was very pleased about! Every pitch has its own eco toilet, shower, big shelter with picnic bench and campfire and optional electric connection. The shelter was a game changer, we could sit out whilst there was blazing sun or the lashing rain, which we had both! Also there's a woodland area which was a fun little adventure! The onsite shop was my favorite bit - great, small selection of useful items and souvenirs!Owners are lovely as well. Would love to stay again. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore that part of Wales!

Where do I start?! From the moment we booked our holiday at Kingsmill, Jo & Nick couldn't have been more helpful. When we arrived, Jo met us and was so friendly - she gave us a great tour of the site and explained how everything worked. The site itself is just perfect. Each pitch has its own character - ours was tucked away on the edge of the woodland! We've done a lot of camping - but it was a real treat to have a really private pitch with our own shower and compost loo - plus the absolute bonus of the covered area for cooking and eating. Jo & Nick really have thought of everything! The honesty shop was brilliant - lots of treats, plus the freezer filled with spare ice packs and all the helpful information about what to do in the area. The location of the site is fantastic - such a beautiful part of the world. We will most definitely be back!!

So much more than just a fabulous campsite!
So much more than just a fabulous campsite! Jo and Nick have created a wonderful experience and have clearly put alot of effort and thought into it. Kings Mill exceeded our expectations and we had a brilliant holiday. The pitches have their own shower, compost toilet and dining area providing privacy with alot of space. Our girls (9/10yrs) loved exploring the on-site woods, picking blackberries (making muffins with them - thanks Jo and Iola!) and the honesty shop was just full of treats. The location is perfect for the surrounding area, only minutes from the beaches and local National Trust sites. We cannot recommend this gem high enough and have already booked for next year - can't wait!
Response
Steve, we absolutely loved having you and the girls here in August. Priceless memories were definitely made along with new friendships. We are thrilled you loved the campsite and the surrounding area. Looking forward to welcoming your wonderful family back next year! I’ll get the muffin tins ready ????
You really need to experience it to appreciate the difference. The trouble is that we won't want to go back to the traditional campsites!
Great campsite a real touch of luxury. Each pitch comes with its own loo and shower and some have a camp kitchen, well a shelter with a shelf. This makes camping so much less effort and nicer with more space available in the tent. Each pitch is comfortably large with masses of space between pitchesIt's a little more expensive than the average campsite but it's so much nicer to be on that it's worth the extra. You really need to experience it to appreciate the difference. The trouble is that we won't want to go back to the traditional campsites!

Discovering Kingsmill last year was the icing on the cake!!
We have returned to Pembrokeshire for our summer camping trip every year since we first visited in 2017 and fell in love with the area, and discovering Kingsmill last year was the icing on the cake!! Now we have all the stunning coastline and unspoilt scenery to enjoy as well as a beautiful, eco friendly campsite to call home for the week. It’s so nice on the campsite that we also really enjoy our slower and quieter days when our little dog is tired from yesterday’s walkies because we can relax amongst the nature of our own meadow pitch while she recuperates! We have everything we need with our own toilet, shower and shelter for cooking, seating, and fire pit all in a spacious, private area surrounded by greenery and birdsong. The site also has it’s own woodland walk, and a meadow walk, both of which are lovely. Even visiting the little communal area for washing up, recycling and the honesty shop feels like a little woodland adventure. The shop catered for us with some vegan ice creams, sausages, burgers and cider which was a lovely treat! There’s lots of other bits and bobs too like home made jams, marshmallows for the fire, and shower gels etc. It’s very handy that campers have access to a freezer to keep their own things or can borrow ice blocks if needed. The firewood is also free and easily accessible which is a nice change to other sites where we’ve had to keep buying it in bags.Jo and Nick are fantastic hosts, and have obviously put a lot of thought and effort into every last little detail, which you can tell by how well kept the pitches and facilities are. They will leave you in peace to holiday your own way but are also friendly and approachable and will help you make the most of your stay if you want any help or suggestions of where to visit etc.We would highly recommend Kingsmill if like us, you love the outdoors and want to combine proximity to nature with high quality camping facilities.

A tranquil haven close to lots of amazing beaches.
We spent a heavenly few days in our camper van at Kings Mill. Jo and Nick were fantastic and charming hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We especially appreciated the delivery to our van door of fresh baked croissants! They were a font of fantastic suggestions of stunning places to explore / eat along the Pembrokeshire coastline. They also have a cute loyalty shop including things like eco shampoo / soap so no need to buy that before you come. Our spacious pitch (enormous actually!) was delightful and private amidst beautiful wild flowers and grasses with great sunset views. The eco ‘facilities’ were spotless too and great to have our own.The campsite truly is a tranquil haven close to lots of amazing beaches. We particularly enjoyed cycling to Bosherston, catching the local bus to Stackpole Quay and then walking back to our bikes along the stunning coastal path taking in Barafundle beach, Broad Haven and St Govans chapel nestled into the cliff face. Incredible. Another highlight was eating at the nearby Paternoster Farm, said to be one of the best restaurants of the moment in Wales (note: advance reservation required). The food was delicious with a tasting menu of locally grown, in-season produce served in an informal shared platter style in a charmingly decorated cowshed. Can’t wait to come back and do it all again. What an amazing campsite and hosts! Jo and Nick are really lovely and helpful, and made us feeling very welcome! Each pitch has its own private cooking shelter, fire pit, compost loo and gas shower. There are wild flower meadow camping pitches and woodland camping pitches. We camped on a woodland pitch, and it was beautiful! It was very private and peaceful, the bird song was stunning, the highlight being the Song Thrush! What a beautiful sound to wake up to.The location is perfect for the beautiful Pembrokeshire Coast.I highly recommend this campsite, especially to those wanting to camp in a nature but with a bit luxury!

Meadowsweet Cottage -The site is lovely, and has a great little shop with local produce and a woodland to explore.
We had a great stay at the barn - it was spotlessly clean and very well equipped for self catering. The site is lovely, and has a great little shop with local produce and a woodland to explore. Jo and Nick were fantastic hosts, with lots of recommendations for the area and provided fresh baked pastries and bread every morning! The location is perfect for exploring south Pembrokeshire, with beautiful beaches a few minutes drive, and access to the green bridge of Wales, stack rocks and st govans chapel.

Sitting out under the shelter in the evenings was fabulous as the showers passed by.
We are just back from 6 nights at Kings Mill campsite (we booked 5 but decided to stay an extra night as we loved it so much). We were on The Birch pitch in the meadow and treated to some lovely evenings sat on our own picnic bench listening to the birds as the sunset on a fabulous campsite. Jo has thought of all your camping needs such as having your own shelter, picnic table, loo and hot shower. It was such a treat and the shelter in particular was fantastic as our weather was a bit mixed and sitting out under the shelter in the evenings was fabulous as the showers passed by.The honesty shop is wonderful and really reasonably priced and we treated ourselves to a few bits such as marshmallows and biscuits for smors. The free firewood is also a bonus and fun to have your own fire area at your pitch. The location is great for exploring the fabulous scenery nearby, we spent our time walking the coastal path and the beaches near Kings Mill are stunning and dog-friendly.Jo, was so kind and helpful and we hope to be back next year. Thanks for helping make our holiday so memorable; Catherine, Henry and Buddy.
A fantastic all-weather camp site run by super friendly Jo and Nick.
A fantastic all-weather camp site run by super friendly Jo and Nick. Each pitch has a substantial timber shelter with picnic bench and fire pit, composting toilet and hot shower. Camping -went with high hopes having read all of the reviews and I was not disappointed.
We spent a glorious week on Woodcock, one of the secluded woodland pitches. I went with high hopes having read all of the reviews and I was not disappointed. The campsite is absolutely stunning and our pitch in particular was beautiful. It was peaceful, private and safe. Our daughter made friends with the neighboring families and spent hours playing in the woods on the swings, slides and balance beam. We cooked over the fire and sat and watched the sunset from the 'balcony' every evening. The outdoor shower was an absolute treat! Always hot, and with the added bonus of the sun streaming in on your face. The short walk to the little honesty shop and washing up area was either through the woodland or the wildflower meadow - it just doesn't get better than that.Thank you, Nick and Jo. We felt the love and thought you've put in to it all. This holiday was very special and will remain in our hearts for a very long time.

I'd say book it at once...but please don't do it when we want to return next year!!
My family of eight adults and a toddler stayed for three nights and we were all so impressed by Kings Mill! I was prepared to be disappointed on arrival because it sounded so perfect on the website, but it really was fantastic, from the beautiful nature filled pitches to all the carefully thought out details on each pitch, the firepit, the free firewood, the useful honesty shop, the prettiest washing up spot I've ever seen, to the shelf in the personal shower and the recycling bins that are provided. It was an absolute haven for wildlife- you could stay on the campsite and just enjoy it to be frank. I'd say book it at once but please don't do it when we want to return next year!

Meadowsweet Cottage- The best self catering accommodation we've stayed in
Just spent a fabulous weekend in Teasel celebrating a 40th anniversary. The barn is so well designed, equipped and comfortable, the best self catering accommodation we've stayed in. Jo and Nick have put so much thought into it, and the little extras like toiletries, coffee, tea, even dishcloths and refillable washing up liquid etc meant you didn't have to spend a small fortune in the shops! Very eco friendly quality products too. We bought our dog which we dont normally do and its been so easy. Jo recommended dog friendly pubs and so many beautiful beaches which are dog friendly even last weekend of August. Couldn't fault this place and we shall be back. Just perfect, congratulations Jo and Nick on your first season, you've got it just right.

Nestled in a serene, picturesque setting, the cottage offers breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside and is just a few minutes drive away from Freshwater West Beach. The walks through the ancient woods in the grounds with our beautiful Border Collie “Grace” were magical - although we made sure we didn’t go too late and disturb the badgers! We loved sitting outside in the evening by the fire pit with our glass of wine, soaking in the tranquility, the night air and especially the stars unpolluted by lights. The hosts, Jo and Nick, were incredibly attentive and friendly, going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. I’m not one to leave reviews normally but this place is so special! We had the most wonderful time at Kings Mill. The setting is quite unlike any campsite we’d been to before - a mix of wild meadow and ancient woodland to explore. Our pitch, Willowbed, was gorgeous. Wrens serenaded the mornings, swifts and swallows playfully dart around in the afternoons only for a group of bats to take on a shift at dusk.Having your own shower and composting loo is a real luxury when it comes to camping.Jo and Nick have created a fantastic place. Highly recommend Jo’s fresh croissants and pain au chocolat. Freshwater west is a wonderful beach and is closest to the site. We didn’t manage to get to Barafundle (that’s one for next time) but Nicks recommendation of Broadwater South was spot on - one of the most beautiful beaches we’d ever been to!

A comfortable, well-situated yet private, serene and wonderfully welcoming space
If you’re looking for a comfortable, well-situated yet private, serene and wonderfully welcoming space to spend time in Pembrokeshire, look no further.Ticked every box with the added bonus of a genuinely welcoming pair of hosts who clearly care about their place and their visitors’ time in Pembrokeshire.Letting our young children take one of their dogs for a walk in the mornings is just one example of their welcoming nature. Will definitely return with the family.

We had a lovely time at Kings Mill Camping. Beautiful pitches, the shelters were very useful, campfires so nice to sit round in the evening or on rainy days. The washing up area is lovely in the trees and little shop and information board so helpful. Jo and Nick are so nice and helpful - you can order warm bread and pastries for the mornings! The woods are great for the kids to play. Such a lovely holiday ????.

Camping - Jo and Nick were super helpful during the booking process
We had an amazing stay at King’s Mill Camping! The campsite is located in a beautiful meadow and woodland with generous size pitches and superb facilities on each pitch (including private shower and toilet and a sheltered fire/cooking area). Jo and Nick were lovely and super helpful during the booking process and our stay and there is a ton of things to do in the surrounding area including some of the most beautiful beaches in the world! We are already missing our time there and looking forward to visiting again next year.

Camping -Right from the start, we were impressed—this campsite is even more beautiful in person than it appears online.
Just returned from a lovely 5-night stay at Kings Mill Camping and wanted to share our experience. Right from the start, we were impressed—this campsite is even more beautiful in person than it appears online.Set in a wild meadow with breathtaking views of the Pembrokeshire countryside, the campsite features mowed paths and spacious pitches, providing a stunning natural backdrop. We appreciated the privacy and the overall tranquillity; we felt completely at ease without any noise from neighbouring campers. The attention to detail really made our stay special. Our children particularly enjoyed the outdoor showers, the rope swings in the woodland and the little treats we found in the honesty shop. A highlight for the boys was definitely Jo’s freshly baked pain au chocolat deliveries in the mornings—such a nice touch! The location is perfect for exploring Pembrokeshire, and we found Jo and Nick’s local guide incredibly helpful. Their recommendations were spot on.I can’t fault Kings Mill Camping; it truly exceeded our expectations. It’s hard to beat this campsite! We’re considering bringing our dog next time, as the area is so dog-friendly. We’ll definitely be back—thank you, Jo and Nick for a wonderful stay!

Thank you so much for such a fantastic review. I'm thrilled to bits you had a wonderful stay. It was a pleasure to have you and your lovely family here and can't wait to see you again next year hopefully! x
Everything about the site has been well thought out.
Our first trip away in our camper with the kids joining. It had all of the ingredients to be stressful and unhappy.. but even with the torrential, unforgiving rain, Kings Mill is a delight. There was little moaning from the 4g seeking teen and pre teen, they instead loved the muddy woods with swings and slides and the wonderful flower meadow. Everything about the site has been well thought out, from gorgeous fairy lit washing up station and shop ( which stocked so many lovely, useful things) to the delightful herb garden with i snipped from to add flavour to my charred camp site cooking. The shower was hot and clean, the covered area was bigger than expected and really well used. We even had a campsite shrew, who became a welcome member of meal times. So to future users of ‘Kestrel’ please look after Drew the shrew. I became quite attached to him. Also watch the sneaky badgers, they did steal a jacket potato! We had a lovely stay and would wholeheartedly recommend. Jo and Nick were both really approachable and attentive. Their love and enthusiasm for the site is evident. We also hired bikes from Pembrokeshire cycle hire but didn’t use them much - it’s very hilly! Thank you Jo and Nick! Emma, Matthew, Bee and Wilf x

What a lovely wonderful review guys! We're so pleased you had a great time here. You definitely made the most of the area despite the less than perfect weather! The shelters came in useful for your week that's for sure! Drew has been keeping a low profile as have jacket potato stealing badgers... may be time to dig out the night vision goggles on Kestrel pitch! I really hope we see you all here again here at King's Mill.
What a fantastic place to enjoy camping in Wales!
What a fantastic place to enjoy camping in Wales! We had a wonderful week at Kings Mill with a warm welcome from Jo and Nick. The camping areas are well maintained and feel quite private. Beautiful surroundings and the facilities are excellent. The shower and composting loo all worked really well and made the whole experience much more comfortable, especially travelling with children. Jo and Nick were fonts of knowledge about local beaches, pubs and places to visit. They were right on hand to answer any questions or queries we had and really very helpful. An absolutely gorgeous spot for a stress-free, natural camping experience. We couldn't fault it and will definitely be going back next year! Thanks so much, Nick and Jo!

Camping - Truly stunning with beautiful wild flowers and plants filling the space between pitches.
We are just home from a week’s stay at the fantastic Kingsmill. The site is truly stunning with beautiful wild flowers and plants filling the space between pitches. We had a warm welcome from the owners, who have worked hard to create an incredibly well thought through campsite. We were especially pleased with how stable the pitch was for our van despite it not being paved over, after having got stuck in wet pitches elsewhere. Other well thought through features include: the bowl in the shower so you wash hands and face; eco washing up liquid provided at the washing up shelter; the covered fire pit on each pitch along with huge kitchen area and picnic table (great on the odd wet day); the slides and rope swings in the wood (with planks on the ground to stop little feet getting too muddy); excellent recycling facilities; a camp freezer complete with ice blocks to borrow; an amazing tiny shop including ice creams. The shower is also properly pressured, enough to wash long hair ( not always easy in eco shower set ups) Whilst this is a truly Greener Camping site, we also really appreciated the electric hookup and the chemical disposal point. Nearby is the surf beach Freshwater West, which was great for body boarding. Beautiful night skies for watching the Perseid Meteor shower. We will definitely be back, thank you so much to Nick, Jo (& Ben)

This campsite is truly exceptional, standing out as one of the best we've experienced. Each spacious pitch is thoughtfully designed to harmonise with the natural surroundings with owners Jo and Nick allowing nature to enhance the landscape (while not underestimating the effort, passion, and vision that must have been involved!) There is so much attention to detail to make the camping experience unique and comfortable. This was our first visit to Pembrokeshire, and King's Mill was the perfect base for exploring this beautiful part of Wales. Jo was a wonderful host, providing incredibly helpful suggestions on places to visit and giving such attentive service. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle then we couldn't recommend more highly. We loved it!

The The pitches are unlike anywhere we have stayed before, with a real emphasis on nature
We loved our 3 day stay at King’s Mill with our camper van. We booked for 2 nights but so enjoyed being here that we stayed a 3rd night. The pitches are really well spaced and unlike anywhere we have stayed before with a real emphasis on nature- we saw some great bat displays as well as many other wildlife moments. Jo is an amazing host and nothing was too much to ask. We look forward to our next stay.

It’s so calm and you wake up to the sound of woodpeckers
We love it here! We came back for more this summer after first visiting King’s Mill last year. It’s a beautiful campsite where everything has been really thought through to make the camping really comfortable. Top features for us are 1. The setting - on the edge of an ancient forest that has secret swings and gorgeous walkways. The rest on the campsite is surrounded by meadows being re-wilded. 2. Hot showers on every pitch - feels like total luxury to have your own private shower, AND you get your own compost toilet too. 3. It’s so calm and you wake up to the sound of woodpeckers ???? 4. The owners are friendly and super helpful and will make sure you have a great stay. Such a great place to stay!

Thank you so much for a great review. You've listed all our top favourite things too (apart the bit about the owners... that would be weird!!) Really hope you make it a hat-trick and come back again. Have a great rest of the summer!
Totally blown away by this wonderful campsite.
Totally blown away by this wonderful campsite. We stayed on woodcock which is tucked away in woodland. The whole site is so peaceful and it was great being able hear the owls in the evening. That, alongside our little shelter with its twinkly lights made it a magical stay for us. Not forgetting the free firewood for our campfires and s’mores of an evening (thanks for the hobnob recommendation in the shop!) Having our own shower and toilet on the pitch was brilliant. The honesty shop is well stocked and the information board is packed with tips for seeing the local attractions. Jo also started a little bakery delivery which you could order the night before which was great and delicious! Jo and Nick were both attentive and so friendly. I’m not sure another campsite could live up to this one and we will definitely return. Thank you for a fantastic holiday!

The kids had a great time exploring the ancient woodland with swings and secret slides.
Kings Mill Camping in Pembrokeshire exceeded all expectations for an unforgettable outdoor getaway. From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome from Jo and Nick set the tone for a fantastic stay. The campfires and free wood were ideal for Mr D and the kids loved roasting their marshmallows which we got in the little but well stocked honesty shop. The private gas powered shower and composting toilet were a dream and enhanced the experience . The secluded pitches (we stayed in weasel) meant that you really felt you were the only campers there.Jo and Nick's dedication to ensuring their guests have a memorable stay is truly remarkable. The local insights in the (very pretty) communal washing up area were perfect for people who don't know the area already. If you're seeking a tranquil retreat surrounded by nature's beauty, Kings Mill Camping is for you. The combination of thoughtful amenities, secluded pitches, and the wonderful hosts, Jo and Nick, create a perfect blend of comfort and wilderness. The kids had a great time exploring the ancient woodland with swings and secret slides and they even enjoyed doing the washing up in the evening.

A cute little shop for self service and lots of useful tips on what to do in the area
Amazing eco campsite with lots of love to detail. Nick and Jo are lovely and made a real effort to make us feel welcomed and well looked after. It’s a great plus that the campsite has pitches with a toilet and a shower each, it saves you all the long walks to some communal blocks. They have a cute little 24h shop for self service and lots of useful tips on what to do in the area. Highly recommended campsite indeed. We’re going to come back.

Fantastic camping. Large private pitches with personal shower and compost toilet and as much firewood as you like. Happy days. However, the large shelter on each pitch with a picnic table and work surface was a game changer for cooking and food prep. First time we've camped with electricity too. Will be hard to slum it again! Expensive yes, but happy with the choice. I also recommend the Balsamic Onion chutney from the well-stocked honesty shop! Oh and the area is fantastic, a different, amazing beach each day, all a short drive

Every review is 5/5, and that is completely justified - They have created an absolute gem that is completely attuned to its rural setting
Every review is 5/5, and that is completely justified. We spent 8 nights at King’s Mill and enjoyed every minute. We have a small motorhome and just loved the space, privacy, and abundance of nature surrounding the very individualised pitches. This was the perfect base for us to return to after cycling, playing golf, swimming, and exploring the rich history of the area. We loved the covered, open ‘barn’ for if it rained (it didn’t) and the firepit with an abundance of free wood. Jo and Nick were discreetly attentive and seem to have got it just right for those who love being outside and ‘back to nature’ without being completely removed from modern conveniences. They have created an absolute gem that is completely attuned to its rural setting

What an amazing site; each pitch has its own toilet, shower, electric hookup and covered picnic area. There is a small shop on site, some helpful recommendations and walks through ancient woodland. It's only a short drive to a great beach.Jo and Nicolas were fantastic - they went out of their way to find the right pitch for us and were helpful at all times. The site itself, part of the Greener Camping Club, is a haven for wildlife and wild flowers.Kings Mill has probably just become our new favourite camp site - can't wait to return!

We've just had a week here and loved every second of it - will definitely be back.
Jo and Nick have got this absolutely spot-on!All pitches have loads of space and none are on top of the next one. The site is secluded and if you're worried about the refinery - don't be as you can't see it & it's virtually noiseless. All the pitches are flat and the toilet, shower and covered area (you get each of these on each pitch so no sharing!) woodworks are really well made. The honesty shop is delightful and will tempt you easily to part with your holiday money here :)We've just had a week here and loved every second of it - will definitely be back. As site hosts, Jo and Nick are both brilliant - attentive but respect your privacy. The local area boasts amazing beaches and walks from easy-strolls to route-marches. There aren't any pubs in walking distance so either remember to pack you corkscrew/bottle opener or take turns nominating a driver as there as some very nice hostelries and cafes nearby

Magical sunsets, peaceful evenings next to the fire pitch, intriguing walks through the ancient woodland... and the private shower in the morning! It was a perfect finale to our Wales holiday. If you enjoy camping you won't want to go anywhere else
we have just returned from 2 weeks camping at Kings Mill. Camping in such a wonderful setting, camping is not the correct word, this is more Glamping but using your own accommodation ????, you have outdoor ensuite facilities, the composting toilet is great, the super hot gas showers under the stars is an amazing experience, you have a covered campfire area with area to cook and prepare food, all the wood you need for your fires, our woodland pitch was large and private Jo & Nick are amazing hosts, so welcoming and helpful, welcoming any feedback or suggestions, Jo's onsite honesty shop stocks some amazing Pembrokeshire produce with the list of what was available expanding even while we were there. I really can't recommend this site enough, it is ideally located to explore lots of Pembrokeshire including Stackpole, Bosherton, Broadhaven South (named as one of the world's best beaches). Plus lots more.We will be going back.If you enjoy camping you won't want to go anywhere else

Fantastic campsite which is full of character! The pitches are unique, private, and large. Every pitch has it's own toilet, shower, and covered campfire area with picnic bench. Several are totally secluded and surrounded by wildlife, and there is a large woodland onsite to explore. The owners are lovely and it's clear they have put a lot of love and care into the campsite. King's Mill manages to feel both luxurious and nestled in nature. Totally unique, and we can't wait to come back.

Ancient woods for the kids to explore...Brilliant campsite -All in all, a fantastic week!
We stayed here for a week at half-term (May/June). Brilliant campsite - big separate pitches each with a large flat camping area, plus a large covered shelter with picnic bench and campfire. Nice and quiet site, good location close to Stackpole Estate beaches and Freshwater West. Ancient woods for the kids to explore, honesty shop for essentials and treats (including ice creams), freezer blocks to borrow, free and plentiful firewood, friendly owners... All in all, a fantastic week!

Thank you for taking the time to review us Kate. I’m so glad you and your family enjoyed your week on Barn Owl pitch. Please keep in touch and come and visit us again!
Great campsite with compost toilet and hot shower on every pitch.
Great campsite with compost toilet and hot shower on every pitch. You’ve got your own shelter, plenty of free wood to burn and an enclosed little woodland on site that the kids loved. Nick and Jo are great hosts and very accommodating. We are intending on returning next year

Thank you so much for the review Paul. It’s wonderful to hear you had a great week with family and friends. You certainly had the weather for it! We really hope you come back again. It was wonderful to hear and see all of the children in your group enjoying the woods. They really made the most of it! Really look forward to welcoming you back here in the future.
Helpful communication before we arrived and during our stay also
We have just returned from a fabulous half term week. The campsite is wonderful, and Jo and Nick were so welcoming and helpful from the communication before we arrived and during our stay also. We stayed on a woodland pitch and it felt completely private, all the pitches are spacious. We loved the individual covered "kitchen" area on each pitch and enjoyed many campfires. The facilities are clean, showers hot and being in the woods was lovely with hidden rope swings and slides for the kids to enjoy. We took advantage of the dog sitting service and I think our pup had a better day than we did! We will definitely be back.

Sarah, thank you so much for writing such a delightful review and for all the amazing photos of Weasel pitch that you sent over. Your pitch looked beautiful especially at night. You were fab guests and I really enjoyed having you all here. I’ll look forward to hanging out with my buddy Teddy again in the future!
I still keep thinking of the peace and tranquility
Mike and I visited King's Mill camp site in August and I still keep thinking of the peace and tranquility I felt whilst there. Such a special place within beautiful Pembrokeshire so much to do as an individual, couple or family. Our pitch was Kestral which was perfect for us as it was quite private/hidden and next to the beautiful ancient woodland. It was great to have our own toilet, shower and an amazing shelter with space to sit/cook and have a camp fire of an evening. Awesome not to have to worry about the weather and tarps etc .... Although it was glorious! Hurrah! If you are 'outdoorsy' nature lovers, but with a streak of adventure King's Mill is an ideal campsite as it gives you that outdoor relaxed feeling, but lots to do and see locally! We went surfing at Fresh Water West and also coasteering nearby too. We cycled up past Pembroke Castle and some of the Brunel Trail, walked along the coast from Bosherton Lily Ponds, through Broadhaven South, Stackpole Head and Barafundle to Stockpole Quay! Just stunning! Would highly recommend!I felt there was so much more to do but we ran out of time! We would LOVE to return next year! Thank you, Nick and Jo for being such lovely hosts; you would always be open for a chat, but respected people's privacy too! 10 out of 10!

An incredible experience
Spent the week 21-28/08. Was an incredible experience and the owners Jo and Nick were so lovely. There is lots of forest to explore within the campsite and it is less than 10 minutes away from Freshwater West. The cmapsite's shop runs through an honesty policy and the pricing is excellent. We will definitely be back!

Nick and Jo have created something really special -Go before it gets booked up constantly!
I couldn’t recommend this campsite highly enough. Nick and Jo have created something really special. Private pitches, personal toilets and hot showers in wooden cabins, covered awning makes a great kitchen area and handy shelter for rainy days and the free firewood is just the beginning. Then there’s the wildflower meadows, the ancient woodland, the rope swing, the beautiful sunrises and starry skies at night. This is a beautiful, very special place. Nick is a wonderful host and went out of his way to make us comfortable. Worth every single penny and more. We had the best camping trip we’ve ever had and can’t wait to come back. Go before it gets booked up constantly!

It will be even better next summer with lots ideas that we have. See you next summer and I will be in touch in January. Best wishes, Nick Jo and Family.
What a great spot Jo and Nick have created!
What a great spot Jo and Nick have created! There's a good amount of space between the pitches which are also separated by wild grass, flowers and trees. This creates a nice feeling of privacy without feeling isolated. You have your own personal shower, with hot water, and toilet which is so unique while camping. You also have a covered dining / kitchen area which provides excellent shelter. A wooden bench and seating is also provided which is a lot nicer to use than our own foldable version. Plus you can have an open fire on your pitch which is a great focal point in the evening. The adjacent woodland is really lovely to roam in and the kids love it. The experience was topped off by the warm and friendly hosts who couldn't be more helpful

Thanks so much for a wonderful review Clyde... It's not Australia...but it's pretty lovely! :)
I'm torn whether to offer a review, as we'd quite like to keep this special place our little secret!
We've just returned from an amazing week at King's Mill camping and to be honest I'm torn whether to offer a review, as we'd quite like to keep this special place our little secret. Our pitch was nestled in a clearing in the woods with magical kitchen and campfire set up within the beautiful woodland. The first picture shows the view from the (private) shower - what a perfect way to start the day! Nick and Jo have managed to create a perfect campsite for those who aren't fans on on site entertainment or tents lined in a row kind of camp sites. King's Mill gives you the sense that you are really outdoors and in the wild but with all you need to be relaxed and comfortable. It's a gorgeous tranquil spot, perfect for families with little nature lovers. The wild flower meadows are stunning, as is the ancient woodland. You could happily relax at the campsite all day and just potter around allow the kids to explore and play on the rope swing. It's a fantastic location with lots to see and do locally - much of it free to visit with free parking often available. Freshwater West is a beautiful beach with amazing rock pools and a popular spot for surfers - it was a huge hit for our little Potter head as it's where poor Dobby was laid to rest. We also loved Angel beach with its amazing little secret lagoon, it also benefits from a cafe and public toilets. Pembroke Castle is close by, as is The Bishop's Palace - both beautiful spots to take in some history and architecture. A highlight for us was exploring the cliffs - the Green Bridge is truly spectacular and it was a wonderful adventure heading down to St Govern Chapel. In terms of supplies - there's a handy onsite honesty shop. For other bits and bobs the Co-op in Pembroke (around 12 mins drive away) is perfectly stocked and even has a nice variety for us vegans, but if you need a bigger shop Pembroke Dock has all the major supermarkets. Rowlie's chip shop is a nice lunch time treat after exploring Pembroke.Nick and Jo and family are perfect hosts; accessible if you need them but they leave you to enjoy your holiday in peace.

Beautiful beaches nearby.
Just back from a fantastic stay at King's Mill Camping. The site is beautifully set up, the pitches are well spaced and it's great to have a compost loo and hot shower on each pitch. Nick and family were very welcoming. The surrounding area was great - we were never stuck for something to do! Beautiful beaches nearby.

A great wood for the kids to explore and a lovely walking area for dogs.
Incredible site with beautiful private plots with your own shelter for cooking in and a camp fire. You also have your own hot shower and compost toilet on your plot. There's a great wood for the kids to explore and a lovely walking area for dogs. There are also some of the best beaches in Pembrokeshire on your doorstep.Nick, Jo and the family are really friendly and helpful. I would really recommend staying here. And we'll definitely be going back again.

As my little boy said "best place ever'"! ??
We stayed at Kingsmill Camping on Woodcock pitch for a week in July. All the pitches are lovely but this one is very special indeed, tucked away in the woodland. There is a covered area in the woods for shelter, cooking & having a fire. We were lucky enough to have frequent visits from a wren here & even saw a little mouse put in an appearance too!Like all of the pitches Woodcock has its own hot shower (from which you can look out to trees!) & compost toilet. Despite being tucked away in the woodland this pitch also has electric hook-up.The site has a washing up area with a freezer for ice blocks & a little honesty shop, where my little boy was delighted to find we could buy lollies! There is also a beautiful meadow with butterflies aplenty & my son loved the tyre swing in the woodland. The owners Nick & Jo are so welcoming & friendly but without being intrusive & what an amazing place they have created! If you want a holiday where you can be immersed in nature but still have some luxury home comforts then this is definitely the place for you. As my little boy said "best place ever'"! ??
