Nestled between woodland and meadow, Kestrel feels tucked away without feeling enclosed. Natural screening creates a sense of privacy, making it an excellent choice for campers looking for a little more seclusion while still enjoying open skies and late sunshine.
South-facing and sheltered, Kestrel enjoys sunshine well into the evening while retaining a wonderfully secluded feel. Screened by wild grasses and native trees, it offers the character of a woodland-edge pitch with the light of the meadow. Private hot shower, eco toilet, timber shelter with prep bench, campfire and on-pitch parking mean everything you need is conveniently close at hand.
The dedicated hardstanding parking area keeps access straightforward in all conditions and means your vehicle is always close by throughout your stay.

What our guests are saying about us
A perfect break at Kings Mill
We had a gorgeous 2 night stay at Kings Mill last weekend. The hosts are so friendly and greet you at the entrance to the site to show you to your pitch and explain everything about it. The site itself is well maintained and extremely quiet and peaceful. Excellent facilities on your own private pitch including an eco toilet, shower and shelter with picnic bench. Bins also provided on your pitch. We made good use of the honesty shop, it’s stocked with lots of camping essentials as well as ice creams, dog treats, beers and award winning burgers from the local butchers. Less than 10 minute drive to Freshwater west beach. We will definitely be back. Thank you
Happy days at King's Mill
Facilities as described on website - hosts Jo & Nick genuinely welcoming, friendly and passionate about their site and its environment (especially the ancient woodland). We will definitely visit again.
Amazing stay at Kingsmill
We had an amazing 3 nights at Kinsgsmill. The site is perfectly located for exploring with lots to see and do nearby. The secluded pitch was huge, it was raining when we arrived but we soon had a fire and bbq going under the covered area. Nick and Jo are perfect hosts. I wish we’d stayed longer. It’s the best site we’ve ever stayed on in 30 years. You have your own slice of the country. Outdoor living at its best.
